Charlene Laino Podlipna, CPA, CFF
Charlene Podlipna is a Certified Public Accountant and has provided litigation support services for over five years, working with counsel in civil and criminal litigation. Ms. Podlipna’s experience includes a variety of disputes including securities litigation, fraud investigations and business valuations. Her industry experience includes media, non-profit, high-tech, telecommunications, healthcare, real estate and retail. In assisting counsel with these matters, Ms. Podlipna has performed detailed analyses of financial records, reviewed audit work papers, and researched GAAP, GAAS and various SEC rules and regulations.
Prior to joining Freeman & Mills, Ms. Podlipna worked as an independent consultant on various accounting projects, which included reviewing and documenting internal controls of publicly held companies in order to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Prior to working as an independent consultant, Ms. Podlipna was a Senior Software Consultant for CCH Incorporated, a leading tax and accounting software company in the U.S. Ms. Podlipna worked in public accounting for five years as a senior consultant at Gursey, Schneider & Co., LLP in its Litigation Services division and as a senior auditor at Arthur Andersen, LLP. As a member of the professional staff of Arthur Andersen, LLP, Ms. Podlipna performed audits of publicly and privately held clients in the healthcare and not-for-profit industries. Ms. Podlipna earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles.
